Services

  • Individual Therapy for Children & Adolescents

I provide in-person psychotherapy sessions with children, adolescents, and emerging adults. My main modality is humanistic, play therapy. Depending on goals of treatment, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and/or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These sessions are 50 minutes. In addition, I check in with the parents every 3-6 sessions to check in, provide tools, and discuss how to support their child. These sessions are also 50 minutes.

  • Ericksonian Hypnotherapy

If interested, I work in a Ericksonian hypnotherapy approach with clients. Unlike traditional hypnotherapy, Ericksonian hypnotherapy uses indirect suggestions, builds trust with the client, uses metaphors, and storytelling. This can be used for any presenting challenge a client has. To learn more about hypnotherapy, please check out here.

  • Therapy for Athletes and Student Athletes

Another speciality of mine is working with student athletes or athletes of all ages or level of athletics. Sports can be a huge part of a person’s identity as well as the family’s identity. My goal is to work with athletes holistically by providing humanistic therapy, seeing the client who they truly are first, and providing tools to improve their social, family, and athletic relationships. I also taking into consideration their how athletics shaped in their goals, beliefs, and upbringing. I can also incorporate CBT, DBT, Sports Psychology, and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy to improve thinking , stress, and performance.

Each person is a unique individual. Hence, psychotherapy should be formulated to meet the uniqueness of the individual’s needs, rather than tailoring the person to fit the Procrustean bed of a hypothetical theory of human behaviour.
